My journey
Born in Budapest under Soviet rule, I learned German and Russian, later choosing English as a second language in high school. At 17, my father and I sought refuge in Austria, spending nearly a year in a small Austrian village’s camp after deciding not to return to Hungary.
As an interpreter and translator, my refugee journey fuels my passion for aiding others in similar situations, highlighting perseverance. This commitment to service also led me to join the National Language Service Corps (NLSC) as a volunteer translator, contributing my skills to support diverse communities.
